Gaku - Minna no Yama mountain-climbing manga dropped from #2 to #3 in its second weekend on both Kogyo Tsushinsha and Box Office Mojo's charts. According to Box Office Mojo, the film added the equivalent of US$1,607,213 on 315 screens for a new total of US$12,649,554.

Gantz manga, also dropped from #3 to #5 in its fifth weekend. It earned the equivalent of US$867,926 on 375 screens for a total of US$30,984,938.
